Public Art in Seattle, Sights to See in Seattle

Peter Reiquam’s Nine Lives: Fremont Firestation

The icon of the Eveready (TM) battery inspired this 2013 sculpture. It suggests that the firefighters are ever ready.

“Each of my projects is a unique response to the landscape, architecture and culture of its site. My goal is to create beautiful, thought-provoking artworks of the highest level of craftsmanship, of materials that require little, or no maintenance beyond an occasional cleaning – works that inspire and entertain and that contain familiar objects presented in unexpected ways.” Peter Reiquam

The artist’s bio.

The artist’s own website has a fabulous photo of the installation of this sculpture. He has created many works of public art in the northwest.
