Who is an immigrant in Seattle? Almost everyone!
The local native people celebrate their heritage at The Duwamish Longhouse and Cultural Center. It includes a gallery, a shop, and a large room with an inlaid wood floor patterned to look like a traditional basket weave. Make sure to look at the wall materials too!

Across Marginal Way is T-105 Park which sits on the Duwamish Waterway. A good place for a walk or picnic.

The longhouse is created to copy the look of a native american longhouse! The main room is all wood, with trees for posts and natural finishes. The main floor is wood and concrete with benches around the sides of the room. It looks comfortable and inviting!!!
